Holographic World of Idin Samimi Mofakham

That day was one of a kind…

An atmosphere of something unique and thrilling. For the first time since many years instead of being a composer or conductor, I have sat in front of the piano. Fear and anxiety mixed with desire to create a wonderful music.

Idin Samimi Mofakham’s “Holography” Concerto for piano and string orchestra was written in the end of 2015. This work grows on the basis of spectral composing and sonoristic explorations, introducing a world of sounds rather rough and dangerous. Beauty of this music definitely comes from the unleashed composer’s emotion, poured into a piece of paper by the means of many contemporary piano techniques (pizzicatos, glides, buzzes on strings etc.). It is the artistic scream that tries to reach to everyone in the days where speed of life doesn’t allow people to stop for a moment and just… listen to the sound…
